St Lucia, situated in a world heritage site, has numerous restaurants, shops and a craft market. Walking through the neighborhood during the day, monkeys, mongooses, red duiker and bushbuck can be observed. The really fortunate can see the lone leopard on a morning stroll or a hippo. The nearby white sand beaches is the perfect place to enjoy a day out at the seaside. St Lucia is an excellent bird watching area and on the surrounding hiking trails various species of wildlife can be observed. Fishing, hiking, mountain biking, snorkeling, game drives is some of the activities in our proud little town.

Cape Vidal
Overview

Cape Vidal lies within the iSimangaliso Wetland Park World Heritage Site about 30 km north of the town of St Lucia. It is a three-hour drive from Durban. Cape Vidal offers the best of two worlds – it is situated on the exquisite Zululand coast with all its amazingly rich marine life, and it provides direct access to the Eastern Shores Nature Reserve with its populations of elephant, rhino, buffalo, crocodile, hippo and reedbuck to name but a few.

Whale Watching
Overview

Whale Watching St Lucia is a magical 2 hour St Lucia tour taking you as close as 50 meters from the giants of the deep. Humpback whales are the most commonly spotted, but Minky’s, Right and Sperm whales are also seen. Whale Watching St Lucia begins with a high energy surf launch which requires decent “holding on strength”. For this reason, we accept only children 12 years or older.

These magnificent creatures of the ocean that return to their area of birth to lay their eggs can only be regarded as breathtaking.  This tour only takes place in the Summer months from November to end of February. The season is divided into two parts one being from November to end December is mostly when the Turtles will lay their eggs and then from January to end February one may witness the eggs hatching.
